Late Nights the mixtape

Produced and Executive produced by Jeremih

All tracks recorded and mixed by Jeff Lane.

The late nights' mixtape project started in 2011 and released in 2013.  Without the support of DefJam, this was the first time Jeremih took complete control of all aspects of a musical project. Rarely ever working on the mixtape during Chicago sunlight, the brand idea of Late Nights was born.  With the hometown support of Chicago radio, the tape had several records in regular rotation and eventually led to one track, "All the time" released in the movie, Magic Mike XXL.  Here are a few of Jeff's favorite highlights from the tape.  Probably his favorite song he recorded with Jeremih is Late Nights.  This record is one of the songs that Jeremih made the beat, and its minimal instrumentation shows the brilliance of how vocal production and songwriting can carry a track.  "How many artists can make a song with only five sounds and not lose the listeners interest?"  As a side note, Jeff Lane never mixed or worked on the song, Late Nights, till after midnight.  To this day, when Jeremih and Jeff do a shot of alcohol during a session, they still say, " Toast to the.....".
